Pegasus Airlines to partially resume services

Turkish carrier Pegasus Airlines is to reintroduce international flights this month, with services to and from Stanstead among resuming routes.

Flights between Turkey and Germany will begin on Jun 13, with a one-time direct flight between Stansted and Izmir on June 15.

A daily flight between Stansted and Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen will operate between June 16 and 29 as part of its partial resumption of flying.

Quarantine restrictions are currently in place in both Turkey and the UK, with arrivals asked to self-isolate for 14 days.

Pegasus will also be restoring some flights between Turkey and Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Switzerland and The Netherlands.

The airline said its schedule will be gradually increased further, subject to the approvals of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in Turkey.

For flights arriving in Turkey, health checks will be carried out on passengers entering the country. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests will be performed free of charge in cases where symptoms are identified during the health check and where deemed necessary.
