A fresh wave of cruise cancellations will affect certain sailings by Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings brands until the end of October.
The holding company of Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises announced an extension of a previously announced suspension of global cruises to include all departures between August 1 and September 30, 2020 for the three brands.
The company is also cancelling selected cruises in October, including Canada and New England sailings, due to travel and port restrictions.
The cancellations exclude Seattle-based Alaska voyages in September.
NCLH said: “The company will continue to work in tandem with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the federal government and global public health authorities to take all necessary precautions to ensure the health, safety and security of guests, crew and the communities visited.
“Guests who are currently booked on cancelled voyages on Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises or Regent Seven Seas Cruises are asked to contact their travel advisor or the cruise line for more information.”
The group operates a combined fleet of 28 ships with more than 59,000 berths.
