Carnival Cruise Line is hoping to build on the success of Carnival Magic’s season in Europe last year with a campaign to promote new ship Carnival Breeze.
The latest ship to join the Carnival fleet will take over from Magic with cruises from Venice and Barcelona in 2012.
With the strapline ‘Just Take It Breezy’ the campaign launched today (July 4) when virtual postcards including video content were sent to 45,000 households in the UK.
The campaign is also supported by a four-page flyer that will be available as an e-brochure, although some hard copies will be available for trade partners.
Details of the Breeze deployments will also going be up-loaded on to the GoCarnival agent online booking system.
UK managing director Lynn Narraway said the push on Breeze comes during the line’s most successful UK year ever, largely due to the popularity of Magic.
Narraway said British passengers on the US line have jumped 42% this year on 2010. On three departures this year half the ship’s passengers have been Brits, she said.
Some availability remains on family Mediterranean cruises in August and October deals are available with onboard spending money.
