Tui’s premium all-inclusive brand Robinson is to open a new resort in Cyprus next year.
Robinson Club Cyprus will be the brand’s first on the island – adding to its 26 existing resorts.
It will be situated on the sandy beach south coast, 30 minutes from Larnaca International airport and 90 minutes from Paphos airport – on the site formerly operated as Aldiana Club Cyprus.
The existing facility, owned by Muskita Tourist Enterprises Ltd, has 321 rooms and suites which Tui says “will be extensively renovated and expanded” by the opening next summer.
Robinson is aimed at couples, solo travellers and families, and offers sports and activities in resort.
Tui said the water conditions at the new site make the Cyprus club “an ideal spot for water sports”.
Bookings can be made from July 16, 2020.
“We are pleased that we can continue Robinson’s continuous course of growth even in these extraordinary times,” said Bernd Mäser, spokesperson for the management of Robinson Club GmbH. “We are clearly looking ahead. We are delighted that we are adding a fascinating destination to our portfolio with Cyprus, which has a lot to offer our guests.”
“We are in close contact with all the partners in the country,” added Sebastian Ebel, Tui Group executive board member responsible for hotels and resorts. “Tui is already represented in Cyprus with numerous partner hotels. The holiday destination also offers great potential for our popular hotel brands. Therefore we will welcome our premium club Robinson to Cyprus for the first time in summer 2021.”
