Welsh travel agency chain Tailor Made Travel is to target expansion in Scotland after setting up offices in Glasgow.
The miniple said it would begin to recruit homeworkers and investigate opportunities to open retail premises.
Chief executive Simon Morgan said the move had been driven by the volume of business the agency has in Scotland and opportunities presented by the proposed closure of Travel 2’s Glasgow office as part of a merger with sister operator Gold Medal.
Morgan said: “We already have a significant Scottish following and regularly book clientele. Having a presence in Scotland is a natural progression for our business.
“We will focus initially on telesales whilst forming a suitable team. Our existing staff will assist with bookings and enquiries whilst the team is built.
“We anticipate that there may well be some opportunities to acquire some great people with the recent Travel 2 announcements, this has undoubtedly expedited our plans.”
