A summer 2021 ship swap will see larger vessel Regal Princess replace older Grand Princess sailing from Southampton.
The 3,560-passenger Regal Princess will run 17 departures from the UK port.
But two seven-day Europe cruises by 22-year-old Grand Princess will be cancelled as the 2,600-passenger vessel is re-deployed to the US west coast operating from Los Angeles.
Regal Princess, launched in 2014, will offer ex-UK departures to the Mediterranean, Norway, Scandinavia, Iceland and other European destinations.
The ship is being switched to Europe from operating its originally planned Alaska season next summer sailing from Seattle, which will now be operated by sister ship Majestic Princess making its debut in the region.
Passengers booked on Regal Princess Alaska and Grand Princess Europe voyages will have their booking automatically moved and will receive a new booking confirmation, according to the line.
Princess Cruises added: “We are currently assessing enhanced health and safety protocols in light of Covid-19 and how they may impact our future offerings. Our actual offerings may vary from what is displayed in marketing materials.”
Meanwhile, the line confirmed that new ship Enchanted Princess has successfully completed sea trials.
“The ship set out to sea in Italy, going through a series of test maneouvres and is now back in the Fincantieri shipyard for further finishing,” Princess said.
