Cosmos and flight-only arm Avro have moved to capitalise on the collapse of Turkey specialist Holidays4U by “significantly” hiking peak summer capacity to Dalaman.
Additional capacity on existing high season flights plus extra services have been laid from Gatwick and Manchester to the Turkish gateway on a series of dates throughout August.
The extra capacity has increased flexibility on the range of flight durations – from 1 to 28 days and more – as well as extra days of operation.
Additional flight have also been added from both UK airports to Dalaman in September and October, inlcuding the school half-term break from October 23.
Cosmos managing director Hugh Morgan said: “Since the news came through about Holidays4U, we have been working closely with our travel agent partners to assist them in re-booking flights and holidays for their customers.
“Our commercial team has been working hard to get as many extra seats on sale to Turkey as possible.”
