Isle of Wight ferry operator Wightlink has resumed services to the west of the island.
The Lymington to Yarmouth route reopened on Friday, adding to the Portsmouth-Fishbourne link which was maintained throughout the lockdown for the transport of key workers and essential goods.
Keith Greenfield, Wightlink chief executive, said: “While our ferries have continued to operate throughout the pandemic, providing travel for key workers to and from the Isle of Wight, as well as facilitating the flow of essential goods and services, we are well and truly ready and are launching a campaign to welcome more passengers back on board.
“With hotels, B&Bs and campsites on the island also eager to accommodate guests, we’re incredibly keen to receive visitors looking to relax and enjoy a long-wanted break post-lockdown.”
Agents can earn 10% commission on Wightlink bookings, and need to set up a trade account via the sales department on 02392 855 260 or via Wightlink.co.uk.
Additional health and safety measures have been implemented, with all passengers expected to wear a face covering for the duration of a crossing.
