Turkey specialist Wings Abroad has become the latest tour operator to increase capacity following the collapse of Holidays 4U earlier this month.
Wings Abroad has contracted additional seats with Turkish carrier Onur Air – also used by Holidays 4U – from Gatwick, Manchester, Newcastle and Glasgow to Bodrum and Dalaman until the end of September.
The tour operator’s marketing manager Chris Mansell said: “The sudden extra demand from agents had to be catered for and, having had to trim back capacity earlier in the year, this unexpected number of requests for holidays is most welcome.
“In the light of the recent failure of Holidays 4U we would like to assure all agents that Wings Abroad is totally independent from Onur Air and that, although there had been some sharing with Holidays 4U, there is no operational connection in any way.”
