Wizz Air has recruited TV personality Gemma Collins as a brand ambassador, to showcase its destinations and new onboard hygiene measures.
The Mirror reported the former TOWIE star had signed a “hefty six-figure deal” to become the face of the budget airline.
Wizz has unveiled a marketing campaign with advertisements and social media posts featuring Gemma.
These include a mini ‘documentary’, with cameras following the reality TV star on a trip to Tenerife.
She will also be showcasing some of Wizz Air’s new destinations, which include Faro in Portugal; Alicante, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Ibiza, Malaga, Mallorca, Menorca, Tenerife and Valencia in Spain; and the Greek islands of Crete, Corfu, Zakynthos, Rhodes, Santorini and Thessaloniki.
She said: “Anyone who knows me knows I am all about holidays, so Wizz have come to the right person for some travel inspo. Whether it’s siestas and fiestas in Marbs or sunbathing and dancing through the night on a Greek island, I have got a tip or two up my sleeve.”
Owain Jones, managing director of Wizz Air UK, said: “Gemma’s bright, bubbly personality and love of holidays makes her the perfect ambassador for Wizz Air – and we’re excited to share Gemma’s great experience on board one of our flights to the sunny island of Tenerife.”
