Collette Worldwide Holidays has expanded its programme in Europe in response to a marked increase in late bookings.
The escorted tours specialist has added 22 tours to its 2012 range, eight of which are in Europe. The brochure, which covers departures up to April 2013, features 54 tours, with 14 to Europe. The increase means European tours now represent 25% of the operator’s range.
Collette Worldwide reported a continued trend for later bookings this year, which tend to be for short-haul destinations.
General manager Peter Traynor said: “Unlike the mainstream sector, this year has been notable for a stronger lates market for touring, with high-value bookings in far higher volume than previous years. More options to Europe mean we will be even better placed to meet any repeat of strong late demand in 2012.”
The new European tours are: Spain’s Classics; Italian Vistas; Italian Lakes and Greek Islands; Exploring the Alpine Countries; Alpine Lakes and Scenic Trains; Magnificient Cities of Central and Eastern Europe; Classical Turkey; and Discover Portugal’s Treasures.
Among other new tours are five in the US, four in Central and South America, and three in Asia.
Early-booking deals offer savings of up to £600 per couple.
