Safety record boosts Japan popularity for Wendy Wu Tours

Japan’s handling of the Covid-19 crisis and its inclusion on the government’s safe list of countries that do not require travellers to quarantine on return has led it to become Wendy Wu Tours’ most popular destination for the third month in a row.

John Warr, global sales director, said: “For the last three months, Japan has been our number one best-selling destination for 2021.

“We were delighted with the news of Japan’s recent ‘air bridge’ status and its official recognition by the UK government as one of the safest places to travel in the world. With no quarantine measures in place for UK travellers, it’s clear to see why Japan is top of the list for 2021.”

He added: “Japan has seen massive investment in infrastructure, services and accommodation over the last few years, in the run up to the 2021 Olympic Games.

“With this now completed and available to visitors, next spring is a great opportunity to benefit from these new and impressive facilities, in advance of the summer Games, as well as enjoying nature’s greatest show on earth.”

In order to capitalise on the destination’s popularity, Wendy Wu has introduced a special cherry blossom offer for departures in March and April 2021.

The offer, which is available until the end of the month with a £99 deposit, includes savings of up to £500 per person, in addition to free airport chauffer service and lounge access.

The cherry blossom offer extends to all group tours departing in March and April 2021.
