The Austrian Airlines Group is incentivising passengers to switch to the Star Alliance frequent-flyer programme from the Qualiflyer scheme. Customers are being offered the opportunity to double their points on joining Star Alliance’s Miles and More initiative when Austrian Airlines, Lauda Air and Tyrolean Airline join the group from Qualiflyer at the end of the month.

Aurigny Air Services has launched a range of budget fares to mark the start of Manchester-Guernsey flights on April 25. The lead-in price is £98 return. The airline said a third of seats will be available at the cheapest price.
