Harold Burke, sales director for the UK Holiday Group, has retired after nearly 50 years in the travel industry.
Burke was sales director at the parent of Grand UK Holidays, Sunrise Direct, Just for Groups and Grand UK Hotels from 1999 until his retirement.
He also worked for Pontins for a decade after starting his travel career with The Co-operative Travel in 1972.
Burke thanked industry colleagues who congratulated him on his retirement via Twitter.
He tweeted: “Thank you for your kind words which are very much appreciated. I have enjoyed knowing and working with all my friends in this amazing industry.”
