Avis card system prompts agents to achieve higher sales


AVIS Rent a Car has developed prompt cards for agents which provide information about the company’s deals with its travel industry partners.



The car-hire giant created the cards to help agents understand the special deals it has brokered with suppliers that include airline and rail travel operators.



Each card gives guidance on rate programmes, details on booking requirements as well as extras that are included in the special partnership rates such as collision-damage waiver and theft protection.



It also lists the benefits of using each of the car-hire company’s partners, giving specific details of each partner’s frequent-traveller programme.



Avis head of travel sales Tom Knopek said: “We hope that travel agents will find these prompt cards a useful selling tool.”



He added: “The guides are designed to de-mystify our travel partnership programmes, as well as highlight the key benefits and rewards. In turn, we hope that agents will be able to pass on such benefits to their customers.”



Among Avis’ partners are the carriers British Airways, British Midland, KLM UK and rail operators GNER, First Great Western and Eurostar.
