Tours operators Just You and Travelsphere have brought out a flexible booking policy aimed at giving travel agents and customers ‘complete peace of mind’ when they book.
The Reassurance Guarantee is an extension of the operators’ existing Rock Solid guarantees. Based on customer feedback, it is billed as the company’s “most flexible booking policy yet”.
The policy guarantees the customer’s money is 100% protected for anyone making or holding an existing booking with solo travel specialist Just You or guided touring holidays specialist Travelsphere. Money paid in is held in an independent trust fund, governed by third party trustees.
Managing director Alastair Campbell said: “We’ve continued open conversations with our customers and trade partners over the last four months and we know that holidays mean the world to our customers.
“As we all start thinking about exploring the world once again, at Just You and Travelsphere we want to support our customers and trade partners and give them absolute confidence in booking with us. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, so we are launching our unrivalled Reassurance Guarantee.”
He added: “We are one of the few tour operators that operate an independent trust fund model for client monies. So they are 100% protected no matter what.”
For existing bookings or new bookings made before December 31, 2020, clients can now amend the booking as many times as they need to without incurring any amendment fees.
Campbell said this expanded the policy to existing bookings as well as new sales.
He said: “We do not know what the future holds, so we are supporting our customers and trade partners by allowing them to change their bookings for free. We all need to go on holiday and with the ability to make changes for free, there really is no reason not to make that booking.
“As a way of saying thank you to all of the loyal customers who have stood by us over these difficult months we are extending the offer to include all existing bookings.”
In addition, the companies are offering a flexible cancellation guarantee on any existing or new bookings made before the end of this year. Clients can cancel their booking up to 45 days before departure without losing any money.
Just You is also offering protected deposits so that if a customer cancels 45 days prior to departure their deposit is protected and can be used against a future holiday departing for up to 24 months.
