The Association of Touring & Adventure Suppliers is to hold a week of virtual events, webinars and networking in October after postponing its annual conference until early next year.
The Virtual Touring and Adventure Week will take place from October 19-23, covering the dates the association’s fourth conference was due to take place in Birmingham.
The event will have a theme of ‘Rebuild, Refresh, Renew’, and will bring together the leading suppliers in the touring and adventure sector with frontline travel agents, managers and owners.
Registration for the event is free for travel sellers, with daily content lasting for around two hours in addition to optional training webinars and social sessions.
Claire Brighton, Atas account director, said: “We are delighted to be connecting the best touring and adventure suppliers and Atas associate members with agent partners to reflect on how the sector and the wider industry can move forward from the Covid-19 crisis.
“Like the rest of the industry, the touring and adventure sector has to reassess how it operates, and our theme has been chosen to reflect the need to rebuild businesses and confidence, refresh knowledge and renew travel agents’ passion for this amazing range of products and holidays.”
She added: “We are confident our week of activities will be engaging and informative for agents, and we hope we can have some much-needed fun together during our social events too. We look forward to revealing more about the content in the coming weeks.”
