Club Med has reported a spike in bookings for its resort in Portugal following the relaxation of restrictions on travel to and from the country last week.
The all-inclusive specialist said bookings to Club Med Da Balaia, in the Algarve, were up 173% on the previous week.
The resort was the most viewed on the company’s website in the last week, with page views for the up by 351%.
Club Med also found resorts in Italy, Greece and Turkey were proving popular with Brits in the last week.
Bookings to its Cefalu resort in Italy were up 61% and bookings to Palmiye, Turkey were up by 24%. Bookings to Gregolimano, Greece, were up by 10% compared to the same period last year.
Club Med has released a series of late deals to capitalise on demand, with packages available including flights from London airports and Glasgow.
