Jane Atkins is to step down from her position on the board of Hays Travel at the end of October.
Atkins, who was previously managing director of Freedom Travel Group and Future Travel, joined Hays Travel in June to develop its homeworking division and the Independence Group.
Atkins said she was leaving the company “by mutual consent” and would announce her next move in the next four to six weeks.
The news follows the departure of Sheena Darby from The Co-operative Travel to join Midcounties Co-operative. Darby, who was head of sales and operations at The Co-operative Personal Travel Advisors, said she was leaving for “personal reasons”.
