THOMSON has relaunched its OSL villa brand after research revealed it was still a recognised name on the high street (Travel Weekly September 6).
Despite dropping the programme seven years ago, one in seven villa holidaymakers still recognise the brand, with 3% having travelled with OSLbefore.
Managing director David Oldland said the rebirth of the operation will fill a gap in the self-catering villa market.
The brochure, which will initially be distributed only to Thomson-owned retailers, features apartments and villas in the Algarve, Corfu, Cyprus, Florida, Malta and Gozo, Majorca, Minorca, Costa del Sol, Costa Blanca and Lanzarote.
Prices start at £298 per person for seven nights in Benalmadena on the Costa del Sol.
OSL was formed in 1967 and in 1987 became part of the Horizon group – acquired the following year by Thomson.
The last OSL brochure was issued for summer 1993.
