The Travel Weekly Group was a double winner at the British Travel Press Awards in London on Monday evening.
Travel Weekly received the accolade for best travel trade publication of the year, while executive editor Ian Taylor was named travel trade writer of the year.
The awards mark an outstanding year for the Travel Weekly Group, during which it has further cemented its position with a string of exclusive stories, informative features and insightful analysis in print, online and through its daily TWbusiness:am email breakfast briefings.
Travel Weekly Group editor-in-chief Lucy Huxley said the awards were in recognition of a high quality and driven editorial team.
“I am delighted that the judges felt that Travel Weekly is not only the UK’s leading trade publication, but also boasts the most authoritative and insightful journalist of the year in Ian Taylor,” she said.
“We have worked incredibly hard to build up a first-class editorial and production team committed to delivering the best coverage of our industry across the Travel Weekly Group portfolio, and to receive these awards is recognition of the hours of hard work they put in.”
The British Travel Press Awards were held at the Royal Institute of British Architects, and are organised by Kingley Event Management Solutions.
Judges were drawn from across the industry, and included senior executives from companies including British Airways, Tui Travel, Carnival UK and Expedia.
