Crystal extends flexible booking initiatives

A ‘no-money-down’ deposit window has been extended by Crystal Cruises until January 5.

The ‘Crystal Confidence 2.0’ initiative follows the luxury group reducing deposits from 25% to 15% and waiving administration fees.

Final payment has been relaxed to 60-days prior to first date of service for departures through to the end of April 2021.

Crystal developed the new policy updates “in response to the current environment as the global Covid-19 pandemic continues to impact when and where cruising can resume”.

The company said: “Effective immediately, this new limited-time offer launches in conjunction with enhancements to our other peace of mind booking policies – from reduced deposits and extended final payments to relaxed cancellation schedules and extended early full payment savings – granting travellers who are eager to return to their global discoveries with broader choices and flexibility to alter plans if necessary.”

The incentives apply to all 2021-24 sailings by Crystal Cruises, Crystal River Cruises, Crystal Yacht Cruises and Crystal Expedition Cruises.

Marketing and sales senior vice president Carmen Roig said: “We know that, while our guests are eager to go explore the world again, many are still cautious when it comes to planning future travels.

“We want to be sensitive to this sentiment, while also encouraging them to book the journeys they are so looking forward to.

“Crystal has always specialised in the luxuries that matter most to our guests, and flexibility and peace of mind are a luxury that travellers want the most right now.”

The company has three years of global itineraries available.

However, the group said: “The safety of guests and crew members is Crystal’s utmost priority and the fleet will resume service only when the company’s expert team and global health and government authorities indicate that it is safe to do so.

“Crystal has suspended all voyages across its fleet for the remainder of 2020, and introduced Crystal Clean+ – an evolving, enhanced version of Crystal’s already stringent protocols.

“The policies were developed with the latest data available from health experts and will be updated as new information and guidelines become available.”
