Seabourn has appointed a new vice president of global sales following the departure of Chris Austin.
According to a statement from the luxury line, Austin, who was head of global sales and marketing, left the brand earlier this month after more than three years in the role.
He has been replaced by Steve Smotrys who will be responsible for Seabourn’s overall global sales efforts, leading teams in North America, the UK, Europe, Asia and Australia.
Smotrys, who starts in his new role immediately, has worked within the Carnival Corporation for almost 20 years in various roles across revenue management, market planning, shore excursions and sales.
Most recently he worked for Cunard as vice president of sales and trade marketing for the North American market.
Josh Leibowitz, president of Seabourn, said: “Steve and I have worked closely together over the past several years. He brings a deep understanding of the luxury market and the travel industry.
“Many of our travel advisor partners know Steve well and we encourage them to join us in welcoming Steve to the Seabourn family.”
