Silversea Cruises has taken delivery of the 596-passenger Silver Moon – the ninth vessel in the ultra-luxury cruise line’s fleet.
Silver Moon is the third ship to be built by Fincantieri for Silversea Cruises, with the fourth – Silver Dawn – scheduled for 2021.
Executives from Silversea Cruises, Royal Caribbean Group and shipbuilder Fincantieri took part in a ceremony – in person and via video link – at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Ancona, Italy, on Friday (October 30).
Richard Fain, chairman and chief executive of the Royal Caribbean Group, said: “This beautiful ship represents the resilience of the global cruise industry and it is encouraging to see such innovation and progress in this challenging period.
