Protected Trust Services has appointed Nicky Deadman in the new role of member support and development manager.
Deadman was until recently assistant head of membership at The Travel Network Group but was one of 30 staff made redundant by the consortium at the end of the summer. The redundancy consultation ended in September and was followed by a notice period of at least one month.
Her new role at PTS will involve supporting members to bounce back from Covid-19 as the group continues to expand.
Managing director Daniel Landen said: “Nicky is going to be an incredible addition to the PTS team and we are very excited to welcome her.
“My biggest focus during Covid-19 has been to ensure that all PTS members feel fully supported and that our team works with each PTS member as individuals.
“Every member is an independent business and focuses on different styles of travel, adopting different business models – it has been imperative that we work with each member as closely as possible. The PTS team has achieved that and will continue to do so. I am humbled by our members’ tenacity and strength during such a challenging time.”
Landen said the group had continued to enjoy “incredible growth” during Covid-19 and said Deadman’s appointment would allow members to feel even more supported in a challenging market.
He added: “Brighter days will come – Covid will come to an end and we want to ensure our members are supported to ensure their rebound and growth is the strongest in the industry. We 100% believe Nicky will help PTS and our members achieve this.”
Deadman, who worked at TTNG for six years and prior to that had roles at Hotels4u.com and Lastminute.com, said: “I am delighted and excited to join Protected Travel Services. I’m really looking forward to working with their innovative and entrepreneurial members to help support and grow their businesses.”
