Saga’s cruise ships Spirit of Adventure and Spirit of Discovery were lit up to mark this year’s Remembrance Day.
The light displays took place in the port of Tilbury on Tuesday evening in a show of respect to members of the British armed forces who have lost their lives in service in the First World War and conflicts since.
Lights on the ships’ displays gave the message ‘Lest We Forget’ and noted the date of Armistice Day, 11.11.1918. The two ships also turnd their searchlights to the sky.
A Saga spokesperson said: “Our ships, Spirit of Discovery and Spirit of Adventure, have been poignantly lit up, as a small way to show our support and gratitude for the armed forces and the sacrifices they have made for us.”
