Princess Cruises cuts prices for wave season

Princess Cruises is knocking up to £1,600 per couple off two-week cruises to the Mediterranean from Southampton this summer.

The company claims its wave season ‘Big Princess Sale’ is offering “considerable savings” against launch fares on all ships and cabins across the year, including the peak summer season.

The £1,600 price cut is based on two adults sailing from Southampton on Grand Princess in a balcony cabin for 14 nights departing on June 9.

Ex-UK cruises lead in at £699 per person for a seven-night sailing to Scandinavia from Southampton on June 2. Eleven-night Canary Islands cruises start at £899pp in April and 17-night eastern Med departures lead in at £1,499pp on May 2.

The discounts, which are available until February 29, also cover fly-cruises across the line’s fleet of 16 ships.

UK director Paul Ludlow said: “The popularity of Princess Cruises is growing in the UK and we are seeing an increase in UK holidaymakers choosing Princess, especially with the fantastic prices on offer during the Big Princess Sale.

“In 2012 Princess has 35 sailings from the UK to the Mediterranean and Scandinavia. These cruises not only offer excellent value but also the ease of sailing direct from the UK out of Southampton or Dover.”
