Hotel trade representation firms join forces

A collective of hotel representation firms have joined forces and pooled resources in a global network which involves support for sales through the trade.

RepsUnite is made up of seven independent companies operating in a range of markets, from the UK and Europe to long-haul – with a focus on luxury properties.

They have launched a new website together and say “collaboration, innovation, strategic thinking and a positive mindset have never played such an important role in our future”.

The reps included in the launch are:

• Astrid Oberhummer, Lobster Experience (Germany, Austria, Switzerland & CEE countries)
• Christine Galle Luczak, Heavens Portfolio (Asia)
• Jacqueline Campbell, The Travel Collection (Middle East)
• Janine Glasspole, GP Associates (United Kingdom)
• Jonica Paramor, The Unique Tourism Collection (Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific)
• Maria Topolskaya, TOP Signature (Russia, CIS and Baltic countries)
• Tina Lyra, TL Portfolio (South America + USA)

They hope to build brand identity, grow market share and drive new business ‘once the storm passes’.

RepsUnite will offer travel agency, tour operator, corporate, meetings and incentive client sales calls and product training, customised and specialised webinars, representation at trade shows and consumer events, client roadshows, social media marketing, market research, database marketing and electronic newsletters.

Janine Glasspole, managing director of GP Associates, said: “Like many companies in the hospitality world we have had to evolve and collaborate with our industry peers, to help one another and support our hoteliers.

“To be stronger in this time of adversity RepsUnite was born. Seven likeminded women sharing the same passion and vision for hotel representation joined forces as we all felt passionately that sharing our local knowledge with a global perspective was more crucial now than ever before.”
