Saga has released a Once-in-a-lifetime collection of long-haul escorted touring holidays after a surge in demand from the over 50s market.
In the week following the news of successful trials of the Covid-19 vaccine, Saga saw a 78% increase in traffic to its Traveller’s World website pages and a 36% increase in views of its Traveller’s World online brochures compared to the previous week.
The Traveller’s World is a collection that features long-haul tours.
Saga believes a year of restrictions has “ignited people’s sense of adventure” when they come to make plans for 2021 – and said its most-visited web pages include details of its Trans-Siberian Railway itinerary, tours across India’s Golden Triangle, voyages across New Zealand and a tour of Uzbekistan.
Chris Simmonds, managing director of Saga Holidays, said: “We know just how much our guests have missed going on holiday this year. As our recent web traffic shows, it seems many have spent this time daydreaming about the exciting adventures that they want to go on as soon as they are able to do so.
“Our team has put together a selection of tailored holidays that can only be described as ‘once-in-a-lifetime’. Each of these adventures feature visits to must-see sights and reveal hidden gems that we’ve discovered in our 70 years’ of exploring the world. I look forward to welcoming our guests on one of these unforgettable adventures in the near future.”
Tours the ‘Once-in-a-lifetime’ collection come with Covid-19 insurance, flexible cancellation cover, safe travel assurance and a promise that if the price reduces after booking customers will automatically receive a refund for the difference.
