Thomas Cook has introduced long-haul winter-sun and summer holidays, thanks to new partnerships with airlines such as British Airways, Emirates, Virgin Atlantic and Etihad.
The online travel brand, which re-launched in September, offers “Covid-ready” holidays to destinations that are currently quarantine-free.
Now partnerships with 20 major airlines mean the company can sell direct flights to winter-sun destinations including Dubai and St Lucia.
In total, Thomas Cook has added 43 destinations, including Mexican and Dominican Republic resorts, as well as major North American cities such as New York, Las Vegas and Vancouver.
Restrictions on travel to many long-haul countries including the US, Singapore, China and Japan mean the company is taking a “cautious approach” to launching holidays so departures to the US will be from May 1, 2021. Further countries not currently on the UK’s travel corridor list will follow in time.

Alan French (pictured), Thomas Cook chief executive, said: “We know how much our customers love holidays to places like the Caribbean and Dubai and we’ve been working hard to add in new airline partners.
“Now, with more than 30 airlines to choose from, customers can take full advantage of quarantine-free destinations this winter and look ahead to those exotic long-haul breaks for next year.
“Our next focus is opening up more regional flying from across the UK so more people can book their holidays from their local airport with Thomas Cook once again.”
China’s Fosun Tourism Group – which also owns Club Med – acquired the brand and online assets of Thomas Cook in November last year.
However, it does not yet sell via travel agents.
