Discounts and on board credit lead Virgin Voyages wave offer

Virgin Voyages is discounting cruises by 10% as part of a wave booking period incentive.

The start-up line, which has delayed the start of sailings by first ship Scarlet Lady until May 9 and sister vessel Valiant Lady until November 14, is also offering  up to $400 in on board credit and an extra $100 towards drinks.

The extra $100 is added to the purchase of a $300 prepaid bar tab. The additional credit can be used at any bar on board or at the line’s Beach Club at Bimini in the Bahamas.

The offer covers bookings made by February 9 on Caribbean cruise-only departures from Miami until April 2022 and Mediterranean sailings from Barcelona for next summer.

The deals include Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson’s ‘birthday bash’ four-day sailing on July 14 from Miami to Key West and Bimini, down from $800 to $720.

Virgin Voyages’ cruises include free wi-fi, dining, group fitness classes, basic non-alcoholic drinks and gratuities.

“The time to travel is coming and the brand plans to be part of helping reignite the wanderlust for adventure, rejuvenation and exploration in 2021 and beyond,” a spokesperson said.
