Amex to open exchange outlets at Heathrow Terminal 5

Nine foreign exchange outlets are to be opened at Heathrow Terminal 5 by American Express.

The move expands the company’s presence into every terminal at the airport and brings its network of airports worldwide to 65.

A full foreign exchange service and collection point for online currency orders made through www.travelmoneynow.com will be available through the six airside and three landside currency exchange locations.

Helen Grace, Amex Foreign Exchange Services vice president for airport business development, said: “With a capacity to serve over 30 million international passengers annually, our presence in Terminal 5 is a major milestone in our airport expansion programme.

“One of the busiest bureaus in the main airside departure concourse will feature new touch screen technology, allowing travellers to visit and access relevant currency and travel related information instantly.”
