Travel Weekly cruise feature writer, freelance journalist Jane Archer, has been named winner of the Contribution to Cruise Journalism award in the first Passenger Shipping Association cruise journalism awards.
She also scooped Best Travel Trade Cruise Feature for her article ‘Group bookings hit the right note’ in Travel Weekly.
A judging panel of cruise industry representatives chose a shortlist of 33 journalists for 10 categories in the awards, with the finalists covering a range of national, online, lifestyle and trade media.
Jane took the contribution prize for her substantial body of work which always maintains the highest standards across a variety of cruise topics, according to the judges.
PSA director Bill Gibbons said: “We launched these awards to recognise and celebrate editorial features that best showcase travel on the world’s oceans and rivers and the entries we received were truly impressive.First-class journalism is consistently produced about cruising and we are delighted to congratulate the winners.”
