Abta prepares to open ‘all-inclusive’ convention bookings

Abta is gearing up to start accepting bookings for the 2012 Travel Convention in Turkey – the first to be held in an all inclusive resort.

Bookings open on April 16 for the event, which is being staged at the five star Cornelia Diamond Golf Resort & Spa in Belek, near Antalya.

Additional accommodation for the event on October 10-12 will be provided in the Susesi Luxury Resort adjacent to the Cornelia.

Abta chief executive Mark Tanzer said: “The 2012 Travel Convention is only six months away and with the exceptional facilities and accommodation on offer at the Cornelia and Susesi resorts, delegates will come away with some amazing memories.

“For the first time in its history the Convention will be taking place in an all-inclusive resort which will help ensure that everyone can budget ahead of the event.

“Our Turkish hosts have already surpassed themselves with the quality of venue and they deserve our warmest thanks for welcoming us to their beautiful country.”

Turkish Culture & Tourism Office London director Tolga Tuyluoglu said: “We are incredibly excited to be hosting the Travel Convention in Turkey for the first time since the event took place in Istanbul in 1996.

“We look forward to welcoming delegates to Belek and hope that this will give the UK travel industry an opportunity to experience the superb quality of this area’s all-inclusive resorts at first hand, and the chance to come and explore Turkey further.”
