EasyJet sees passenger numbers rise

EasyJet saw passenger numbers jump by more than 14% last month over May 2011.


The budget airline flew more than 5.4 million people in May, up from 4.7 million in the same month last year.


The load factor jumped by almost four percentage points to 88%.


Carryings for the 12 months to the end of May rose by 7.4% to 56.8 million with an improved load factor of 88.5%, the airline reported this morning.
