International hair salon business Regis Corporation has named Dan Hanrahan as president and CEO just hours after his departure was announced yesterday from Celebrity Cruises.
He joins the Minneapolis-based company on August 6 after spending 13 years at Royal Caribbean Cruises, including seven as president and CEO of Celebrity Cruises.
Regis chairman Joel Conner said: “Dan is a proven, results-oriented leader who understands the value of the customer experience and will be a great asset to Regis.
“With his operational background and extensive experience across a wide spectrum of consumer-facing brands, Dan is the ideal candidate to drive Regis’ comprehensive strategy to improve the salon experience and enhance value for our shareholders.”
Hanrahan said: “I am pleased to be joining Regis during this exciting time in its history, and plan to continue leveraging our deep expertise to further our strategic goal of enhancing the overall salon experience in order to drive customer retention and same-store sales while continuing to focus on improving profitability.
“Regis has a market leading position in the hair care industry and the opportunity to provide our customers with an outstanding experience.”
The company has 12,700 outlets worldwide including a number of franchise operations. Regis has interest in Provalliance, which operates salons primarily in Europe, under the brands of Jean Louis David, Franck Provost and Saint Algue.
