THE Board of Airline Representatives in the UK has co-opted two new members onto its management board.
Cathay Pacific regional manager Europe Adrian Gane and American Airlines managing director European customer services Bob Cordes have been appointed, replacing Singapore Airlines’ former UK general manager Paul Tan, who has returned to head office to take charge of SIA subsidiary Silk Air, and Meridiana UK general manager John Varley.
Varley has stepped down from BAR UK after six years on the board.
The appointments strengthen the position of Oneworld carriers on the board of the influential UK aviation lobbying body, which campaigns for scheduled airlines.
