Princess reveals latest facilities on next gen ship

Princess Cruises has unveiled a range of sports facilities to feature on board new ship Royal Princess.

A multi-activity Princess Sports Central across two decks, a double lane outdoor jogging track and additional circuit exercises are among the fitness features.

The Lawn Court, a grass area for putting, bocce ball, croquet and lawn bowling, is to be included on the 3,600-passenger ship, which enters service next June in the Mediterranean.

A simulated laser shooting range will be a new activity alongside a golf driving range and ‘centre court’ for basketball, tennis, volleyball and badminton.

The line’s UK director Paul Ludlow said: “Many of our passengers are very active on holiday.

“These new facilities will offer them state-of-the-art equipment and cutting-edge classes to keep up, or even step up, their fitness routines at sea.”

The sports and fitness features are detailed in the company’s latest video previewing Royal Princess.
