Aer Lingus sees positive August figures

Aer Lingus passenger numbers rose by 2.2% in August to 1.1 million.

Short-haul carryings dropped by 1.2% to 906,000 on August last year while long-haul numbers were up by 7.3% to 103,000.

The Irish airline’s regional operation saw carryings rise by 35% to 107,000.

The overall load factor increased by 1.6 points to 87.3%.
