BRITISH Airways has settled its legal action with former partner US Airways following four years of litigation.
US Airways started the lawsuit in 1996 when it was dumped by BA as a US partner in favour of American Airlines.
The former USAir claimed BA and its directors had broken contracts by agreeing a tie-up with American.
A BA spokesman said legal reasons prevented the airline revealing the settlement agreement but he confirmed the litigation had been resolved.
Meanwhile, BA has dismissed reports that the Advertising Standards Authority is poised to investigate its adverts for beds in Club World.
Reports state that as BA only has one aircraft with the beds, it is misleading to say the airline is equipped with them.
TheASA has yet to receive any complaints.
