Ovation of the Seas, Pulse of the Seas and Quantum of the Seas are among the potential names for Royal Caribbean Cruises’ new Oasis-class ship.
The names are among six that have been trademarked by the cruise line, which also include Anthem of the Seas, Passion of the Seas and Vantage of the Seas.
The newly-trademarked names come as the company recently confirmed its order of a third 5,400-passenger Oasis-class ship, which is due to enter service in summer 2016.
Fan site RoyalCaribbeanBlog.com, which is not affiliated with Royal Caribbean, reported that the company filed the trademark applications on November 2, 2012.
It is not clear whether any of the six names will definitely be used for any of Royal Caribbean’s new builds.
The cruise line confirmed in December that it will build its third new Oasis-class ship at the STX France ship yard, and not in Finland like the original two in the class.
