Gangnam Style waiters to dance on Carnival ships

Waiters across Carnival Cruise Lines’ fleet are being taught to dance Gangnam Style so they can perform it to passengers in the ships’ dining rooms.

Carnival’s senior cruise director John Heald announced that the global hit will be making its appearance before guests soon, with waiters learning its distinctive ‘rodeo’ moves across all 24 ships.

The Gangnam Style music video, performed by South Korean rapper Psy, is the first YouTube video to reach more than 1 billion views.

“Unless you live alone in a cave or are French, you will have seen and heard, and been driven totally and utterly insane, by a tune called Gangnam Style,” Heald wrote on his blog.

“The news is that this world wide phenomenon is now being taught to the waiters and they will perform their version in the dining room across the fleet soon.

“I think we should add it to the Carnival Legend’s show. What do you think?”
