Luxury operator Abercrombie & Kent has appointed Kerry Golds as its new UK managing director.
Golds was previously managing director at Western & Oriental and before that spent 20 years at Travel 2 where she was a main board member and tour operations director.
She will be responsible for leading A&K’s tour operating division in the UK when she joins on February 18, and will report to Ian Coghlan, chief executive of Abercrombie & Kent Travel.
Coghlan said “We have exciting plans for A&K in the UK and I am truly delighted that Kerry is joining and will be bringing her extensive luxury travel experience to spearhead this development.”
Golds added: “Abercrombie & Kent is an iconic brand and the leader in luxury travel, and I am looking forward to driving their success.”
A&K said Golds will have a remit to “build on strong growth over the last two years and leverage A&K’s 50 overseas destination management offices looking after guests on all seven continents”.
She left Western & Oriental in September last year after overseeing a restructure which separated the travel division from its parent company.
