Warnings issued to travellers as UK braces for snow

Gatwick has issued a snow warning for passengers due to travel to the airport tomorrow.


“As a result we would advise you to check the status of your flight directly with your airline before travelling to the airport,” the airport said.


“We would also recommend that you allow extra time for your journey as road and rail networks may be impacted.  We suggest you also check with transport operators before planning your journey here.”


Latest Gatwick flight information will be made available on the gatwickairport.com website.


British Airways has warned passenger due to fly this weekend that snow and freezing conditions at airports around the UK is expected.


The airline is offering free flight changes to people due to fly from London airport tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday to departures between January 24 and February 10.


Passengers are requested to contact one of the airline’s call centres in the UK or US to change their travel plans.
