JacTravel unveils new supplier site

UK-based wholesaler JacTravel claims to be helping hotels sell rooms with the introduction of a revamped supplier extranet.

Hotels can list their rooms for sale online all over the world via JacTravel’s extensive range of distribution channels to the travel trade via the JacExtra.net.

The new extranet offers hotels greater flexibility in the way they offer rooms for sale, more detailed management information and compatibility with all major internet browsers, such as Internet Explorer 9, Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

New features include the ability to:
•       Update and adjust rates, availability and release periods over specified date ranges and day by day
•       Upload special offers
•       Post ‘early bird’ deals defined by booking date, travel date or lead time
•       Open and close ‘freesale’ to maximise sales when rooms are available
•       Monitor upcoming arrivals and check booking details

The company’s online director Angela Skelly said: “Whilst we know that the main benefit to hotels of working with a wholesaler such as JacTravel is substantially increased distribution and exposure to serious customers they could not otherwise reach; that is not enough.

“We want to be a distributor hotels choose to work with because they enjoy doing so.  Therefore, our aim with this initiative is to make the lives of our hotel partners as easy as possible and this new look and functionality is designed with that sole objective in mind.”

The new-look extranet is being unveiled at Spanish international tourism fair FITUR 2013 in Madrid taking place this week.
