What the course involves:
Agents have one month to complete a two-module self-study course. The first module covers travel to Bermuda, information about the island, two-centre holidays, short breaks, golf and diving holidays. The second concentrates on accommodation and attractions. A third module, which involves attending a half-day workshop, will be introduced in October.

Free.
Benefits of taking the course:
Holidaymakers interested in going to Bermuda are sent a referral list of all the agents who complete the course so they can contact one in their area. Agents get the opportunity to go on a five-day educational to Bermuda. And Bermuda Tourism offers joint advertising, window displays and marketing initiatives.
Comment by Glenis Brown, owner West Morland Travel, Windermere, Cumbria:
“I only knew what I had gleaned from Bermuda brochures, which was not a great deal, before I took the course. It was hard work – it took me around 20 hours to complete the two modules. I get two or three referrals a month from Bermuda Tourism, and I generate another half-dozen sales a month from people who come into the agency.”
