Flights cancelled in second wave of Iberia strikes

A second wave of strikes affecting Iberia flights kicked off today with mass cancellations.

The latest stage of industrial action against cuts being imposed by owner International Airlines Group is mainly affecting domestic services in Spain.

But international flights are also being hit including Madrid-London services. Thousands of passenger face disruption due to the five days of strike action.

Iberia warned of a further week-long strike starting on March 18.

“If you are planning to fly during the week commencing March 18, we would like to inform you that the minimum services at this moment are unknown, therefore we cannot tell you whether your flight will be affected,” the airline said.
