Aer Lingus February numbers down

Aer Lingus passenger numbers fell by 1.5% last month against February last year.

The airline pointed out that the 648,000 carryings, including regional operations, came in a 28-day month against 29 days in February 2013.

Short haul numbers in its mainline division dropped by almost 4% to 532,000 while long haul carryings fell by 4.4% to 43,000.

Aer Lingus regional carryings grew by 24% to 73,000.
