Portuguese specialist Caravela Tours has launched its winter 1999/2000 programme one month earlier than usual to meet earlybooking demand. Hotels in northern Portugal have been added, along with more self-catering accommodation in the Algarve.

Children can go for free on short breaks to Paris with Time Off. The offer is available for holidays booked before August 27 for travel up to September 8. A two-night break with travel by Eurostar costs £185 per person at the one-star Hotel Aris Nord.
