Leeds Bradford airport shut by snow

Leeds Bradford airport was shut early this morning due to bad weather.

Flights were disrupted from the Yorkshire airport due to what were described as “adverse weather conditions”.

Passengers were advised to contact their airline or tour operator to check the status of their flight before arriving at the airport.

Updates were being made available via the airport’s website and Twitter feed.

Snow was also forecast to affect Scotland following icy conditions this morning in many regions.
